Great dude, great team, always gets my houses dialed in perfect ,

Cameron Park sits above the valley fog at about 1,300 feet, on lots that range from tight neighborhoods to ranch parcels and hangar homes. We size systems for all of them.

Airflow Heating & Air is a family-owned HVAC contractor that installs and repairs air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps and ductless systems in Cameron Park, from the neighborhoods around Cameron Park Lake to the hangar homes of Cameron Airpark. We're a Sacramento-area team with NATE-certified technicians and 24/7 emergency service.
Cameron Park sits in the foothills around 1,200 to 1,300 feet, generally above the tule fog that settles over the Sacramento Valley in winter. Summers are still hot, winter nights get colder than in the valley, and the town's unusual mix of lot sizes means no two systems here look quite alike.
Cameron Park's airport sits at 1,286 feet, and pilots have long pointed out that the town is usually above the fog that blankets the valley for weeks in winter. That changes the heating picture. Clear winter nights radiate heat away faster than foggy ones, so frosty mornings are common even when Sacramento stays gray and mild.
For a heat pump, that means the coldest hours come right before dawn. A properly sized modern heat pump handles Cameron Park winters well, but we look at its rated output at low outdoor temperatures, not just its nameplate size, and we set up defrost and backup heat so the house doesn't feel cool on a 30-degree morning. If you'd rather stay with gas, a high-efficiency furnace replacement paired with a new AC is still a common choice here.
Summer is the other half. Cameron Park doesn't escape Central Valley heat, and summer afternoons regularly climb into the 90s. Most homes need a system that does both jobs well, which is why we start every quote with a load calculation.
Cameron Airpark, started in the 1960s alongside the airport, is a well-known residential fly-in neighborhood. Streets are about 100 feet wide so planes can taxi to the houses, and many homes have a hangar where other houses have a garage.
Hangars are big, tall, uninsulated or lightly insulated spaces with a huge door. Extending the house's duct system into one rarely works. Owners who want a comfortable workspace or a place to keep tools and avionics from baking usually do better with a ductless mini-split sized for the space, mounted high, and controlled separately from the house. We also check that outdoor equipment is placed where it stays clear of taxiway traffic.
Larry Cameron bought roughly 5,000 acres of foothill ranch land in the 1950s. Over the following decades it was divided into everything from ranch-sized parcels to medium- and high-density neighborhoods, plus a golf course, parks, the man-made Cameron Park Lake (created in 1951) and the airport. That history shows up in HVAC work.
Many homes in the established neighborhoods still run on original or once-replaced ductwork in the attic. Leaks and crushed runs are common, and fixing them often matters as much as the new equipment.
On bigger lots, the condenser can end up far from the air handler, or the house may have additions served by an undersized branch. Line-set length and duct layout both affect what equipment will work.
Leaves and seed heads pack into condenser coils by late summer. A clogged coil raises head pressure and shortens compressor life, so a spring tune-up with a coil cleaning pays off here.
Sized for frosty clear-sky mornings above the fog line, as well as hot foothill afternoons.
Separate heating and cooling for Airpark hangars, shops and add-on rooms.
Gas and propane furnace repair when a cold snap hits, with 24/7 emergency service.
Diagnosis for systems that run all day in July but never catch up.
Repairing or replacing tired attic ducts in the town's older neighborhoods.
Cameron Park has a community services district for parks and the lake, but building permits come from El Dorado County. California requires a permit for an HVAC changeout, and Title 24 usually calls for HERS verification such as a duct leakage test. We handle the county application, the inspection and the HERS scheduling as part of the job.
We reach Cameron Park from Sacramento by way of Highway 50. Call (916) 476-2222 any time for emergency service, or tell us about your project for a free estimate on a new system.
Usually, yes. Cameron Park sits above the valley fog at around 1,300 feet, so clear nights can bring frost, but temperatures that low are well within the range of modern heat pumps. The key is choosing a model by its output at cold temperatures and sizing it with a load calculation.
Yes, and a ductless mini-split is usually the practical way to do it. Extending the house ducts into a tall, open hangar rarely works well. A separate wall- or ceiling-mounted system sized for the space gives you control without affecting the house.
Yes. California requires a permit for an HVAC changeout, and in Cameron Park it comes from El Dorado County because the town is unincorporated. Airflow Heating & Air files the permit and schedules the inspection and any required HERS testing.
Oak leaves, dry grass and dust collect on the condenser coil over the season and choke airflow. That makes the system work harder and run hotter. A spring tune-up with coil cleaning, plus keeping a couple of feet clear around the unit, helps a lot.

We are thrilled with Oleg and the work he and his team did to install a heat pump, remove the A/C and detangle our hydronic heating system! The price was great, the work was great, the follow-up and follow-through were great. The team was super fast, getting it all done in one day. Oleg is such a great guy - extremely thorough, kind and does such good work. The inspector said "wow, he did a really clean job". We will highly recommend Oleg to anyone who needs HVAC!

I can’t say enough about Oleg and his staff, they were truly professional from initial diagnosis to installation. My heating system ceased working and my family and I were left in the cold. I reached out to Airflow based on the superlative reviews I saw in my research. Oleg came out and knew exactly what my issue was and also uncovered a problem with my dampening system which for the past 25 years no one was able to correct. Oleg told me what I needed, no sales pressure, promised to send me an estimate that day which he did. The cost was exceptionally fair and coupled with the impression Airflow had made I decided to go with them without further research or estimates for price comparisons….wasn’t necessary, this was the guy. I requested early January thinking I could tough it out, however it just got too uncomfortable in the house. I reached out to Oleg who by the way was quite busy and he moved some stuff around and did the entire install the next day. My home is now warm and comfortable. Oleg was a pleasure to deal with. This guy is an Einstein when it comes to HVAC and I will not do business with anyone else from this point forward. Thanks Oleg, you and your staff are top notch. My HVAC system has never operated at this level before.

We highly recommend Airflow Heating & Air for your heating or air conditioning needs. Oleg and his crew installed 2 independent systems in our 2-story home built in the early 1900s. Both the Daikin mini-split and the Goodman heat pump system work to perfection, keeping our house cool in the summer and warm in the winter. What we appreciated most, along with professionalism and a clean job site, was Oleg’s genuine interest in ensuring that we were completely satisfied with the installations.

I’ve used Airflow Heating and Air for years for both my personal home and multiple rental properties. These guys are truly top-notch. What sets Airflow apart is their honesty and thoroughness. Instead of immediately pushing a full system replacement like many HVAC companies do, AirFlow takes the time to properly diagnose the issue and recommend repairs whenever possible, always keeping my budget in mind. They clearly explain the options so you can make an informed decision without pressure. When a full replacement is necessary, they’re just as impressive. I’ve trusted Airflow with two complete system replacements, and both were smooth, professional, and fairly priced. They handled the entire process including permits and inspections which made everything incredibly easy for me and my tenants. Overall, Airflow Heating and Air has been reliable, professional, and easy to work with every step of the way. Their communication is excellent, their work is high quality, and they truly stand behind what they do. I trust them completely and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing HVAC service! 10/10

Oleg was referred to me by my neighbor. My neighbor said he will never go with anyone else for his HVAC needs - and I now I understand why! Both times I reached out, he responded to me within minutes, and came out to my house the very next day. He's honest, reliable, reasonably priced, and just an all around cool dude. Thanks, Oleg!
